I reject the conventional canvas, choosing to paint the untold stories of female friendships, women power and sisterhood. I do not confine my art within the limits of tradition.
I refuse to silence the voices of women, illustrating the essence of friendships and the power emerging from shared experiences. Because I believe in the unspoken tales, and I know that in each canvas, a narrative unfolds.
I feel the vibrant energy of sisterhood, rejecting the notion that art should conform to expectations. I believe in the transformative power of authenticity, where each brushstroke is a declaration of resilience.
I know that my art is a reflection of women's lives, each stroke contributing to the visual symphony of feminine strength. I am a storyteller, rejecting the constraints of silence, and I believe in the resonating power of narrative.
I feel the pulse of change, refusing to be idle in the ever-evolving landscape of artistic expression. I know that my journey is a mosaic of inspirations, from the strong women of my family to the echoes of Klimt and Modigliani.
I am an artist, rejecting the notion that creativity should be confined within predefined boundaries. I believe in the freedom to explore, innovate, and celebrate the unbreakable unity that defines women.
I am Nermin Alpar, an artist weaving tales that celebrate the vibrant spirit of womanhood.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Ankara University in 1982. Since 2009 I have been working on my women narratives.
My artwork has been exhibited in China, Serbia, India, Cyprus, Bosnia, Egypt, Montenegro, Greece and Turkey. I am occasionaly featured in the some prominent national Turkish newspapers, including Cumhuriyet and Hürriyet.
I get inspired by artists like Picasso, Klimt, and Modigliani, but what really drives me is growing up with four sisters. Their strength and friendship are the real stories I paint.
I participated in more than 20 group exhibitions, national and international workshops.
